It all begins with your concept brief. This is where you tell us what you want your mascot to look like, what it will be used for, and yes, even its favourite colour and weekend activities. The more details, the better – it’s all valuable in creating a mascot with personality!
Once we receive your brief, it’s time for our design team to huddle up and dissect your concept. We aim to understand your vision in detail to ensure we meet your expectations. It’s a critical stage where we break down your brief and start visualising your mascot in our minds.
Now the fun begins; production. We create a three-dimensional life-size structural shape for your mascot and find the perfect fabric. Throughout this journey, we’ll be in touch with you via phone, email, or even the old-fashioned carrier pigeon (just kidding, but you get the idea), ensuring you’re involved every step of the way.
We advance to step four on approval of the structural shape and fabric selection. We finalise the shape, design our patterns, and cut and sew fabric coverings. It’s like fitting a suit but for a mascot!
We apply fabric coverings to the structural shape and anchor them into place by hand. It’s a meticulous process, but necessary to give your mascot the perfect fit and look.
It’s all about the finishing touches. We apply facial trims and airbrush highlights, giving your mascot its distinctive, unforgettable features.
Once your mascot is fully assembled and looking its best, it’s time for its first photo shoot. We take pictures for our records and share them with you, giving you a first glimpse at your mascot in all its glory.
Finally, after all the brainstorming, planning, cutting, sewing, fitting and airbrushing, your mascot – your very own Oddbod – is ready to be shipped to you. It’s a magical moment, the culmination of a process filled with creativity, dedication, and a whole lot of passion.
